Hi party girls! This has been a very long week with many things to do. It did not make it any easier that my internet has been cut off for the past two days, making it impossible to do any work!! But luckily it is back just in time for me to write this special edition of the weekender. Because it is Mother’s Day this Sunday, instead of doing the regular post we have decided to give you ideas for fun things to do with your mom during her special day.

Mother’s Day Brunch

There is nothing more classic than treating your mom to a delicious brunch, so why not try taking her to the Drake Hotel this Sunday for a special treat. Here you will be served a prix fixed menu that includes The Drake’s famous warm scone plate, as well as fruit and yogurt. This followed by a choice between a lobster tartine, and a truffled mushroom and goat cheese omelette. The meal finishes with a platter of Drake’s sweet treats. All mom’s receive a gift of the Drake General Store’s Confetti Tea. Brunch costs $42 for adults and $14.95 for children under the age of 10. You can book your reservation here: http://www.thedrakehotel.ca/happenings/2014/5/11/mothers-day-brunch-2014/

Spa Day

Would you you rather spend the day relaxing a getting pampered? Then why not try a day at the spa at Glama Gal Tween Spa. What’s so special about this spa is that it’s a spa just for girls that’s all about inspiring girls to be confident positive and unique, and better yet everything is pretty and pink! Their Mother’s Day event, Bonds in Bloom, consists of rose manicures, making of floral hair pieces, a “Motivate Mom” keepsake box, mock mimosas, Belgian waffles, lavender facials and a Mommy swag bag! This would be the perfect way to spend the afternoon with your daughter and maybe even bring along an aunt or grandma too. Tickets are $100 per mother daughter combo and $50 per extra guest, and can be found on their website http://www.glamagalparty.com/mothers-day-event

Personal Shopper

Is your mom the type of woman that loves to shop, but has everything imaginable in her closet? Then why not book her a day with a personal shopper! She will be catered by a shopping companion that won’t get tired while following her from store to store and she will get exactly the type of clothing that she wants. And what’s better is that the personal shopper will be able to recommend pieces that flatter your mom’s body and what works for her style! We recommend heading to The Bay on Queen St., as they have the most variety of clothing and accessories. Head to their website to check out how to book an appointment http://www.hbc.com/storelocator/storedetails.asp?storeid=78

So there you have it girls, whatever you decide to do just remember to make it a special day and remind your mom just how much she means to you!! Let us know below what you’ll be doing for your mom on Sunday.
